The Role:

As a Product Owner at interVal, you will be at the helm of product development, guiding its direction and ensuring alignment with our mission. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and devops specialists, to drive the product's success.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Finance, Business).
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in a FinTech or tech startup environment.
  • Strong technical background with experience in data projects, integrations, and software development processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

Nice to Haves:

  • Agile and Scrum experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting software.
  • Development experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in Startups and/or small businesses.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Own and tactically execute interVal’s product roadmap predominantly related to data projects, integrations, and platform improvements.
  • Collect and refine initiatives from the Product Manager and other teams within the organization in order to create user stories, change requirements, and acceptance criteria necessary for product changes.
  • At times, translate requirements into clear technical specifications for the development team.
  • Exercise a working comprehension of the technical aspects of the software platform, including data architecture, integrations, and underlying technologies.
  • Work closely with the development and architecture team to ensure a shared understanding of technical requirements and to facilitate seamless communication throughout the development process.
  • Where possible, participate in the testing and validation of new features and enhancements to ensure they meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and development teams to plan and execute product releases, ensuring that communication and transparency about delivery targets is maintained.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the FinTech space to inform product decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
